Trial Sailing

The "Trial Sailing" program, of a duration of 30 days from the time of registration, is offered exclusively to members who register for the first time in a sailing program at Borealis Sailing Centre. You can opt for the “Sail All Summer” program at any time during the season by paying the price difference. For registrations completed before the beginning of the sailing season, the 30 days will start on of the official sailing season launch day.

Keelboat sailing is a sporting activity at risk of injuries. The "Trial Sailing" program includes an annual individual subscription to the Fédération de voile du Québec (FVQ) which provides among other advantages an accident insurance. Individual FVQ membership fees are added at the time of registration. 

The annual membership fees for the Centre are added to the rate of the sailing program at the time of registration and are not included in the displayed rate. These fees are not reimbursable.

Il you enjoyed your sailing experience and would like to continue beyond the trial period, you can easily opt for the "Sail all Summer" program at any time during the season by paying the difference between the rate applicable for the "Sail all Summer" program and the rate for the "Trial Sailing" program.

There will be no refunds, transfers or credits to members or guests for canceled outings or training. For sailing programs cancellation requests, the Centre’s Refund Policy will apply. 

The Center collects the Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) as well as the Quebec Sales Tax (QST) on the Centre's annual membership fee and on the rate of all sailing programs, except on the portion of the rate which represents the fees for the subscription to the FVQ.  These tax amounts are added at the time of registration and are not included in the displayed rate of the sailing program.
