Trial Sailing

The "Trial Sailing" program is intended for new members exclusively. It includes unlimited access to outings (subject to availability) on the Ottawa River for 30 days from the beginning of the season as indicated on the schedule published on the website. The rate for the Trial sailing program is $330 to which the $35 annual membership fee is automatically added, for a total of $365. Fees paid for the "Trial Sailing" program are transferable to the "Sail all Summer" program at any time in the season.

The Centre will reimburse a member who withdraws from the Trial Sailing program prior to the start of the season as indicated on the schedule published on the website. The amount of the reimbursement will be equal to the amount paid by the member, less annual membership fees of $35.

The Centre is not responsible for outings or on-water training sessions that are cancelled due to bad weather conditions, boat repairs or unavailability of skippers. Accordingly, there will be no refunds, transfers or credits to members or guests for cancelled outings or training.

Keelboat sailing is a sporting activity at risk of injuries that could be very serious. From now on, members of the Borealis Sailing Centre (BSC) registered for the "Trial Sailing" program must also be members of the Fédération de voile du Québec (FVQ). The FVQ will allow you to be adequately protected on an individual basis in the practice of this activity.
